With its 97 comfortable rooms and suites the Klosterbräu has maintained a size small enough to be personal, yet it is big enough to provide all imaginable amenities. Be it the Ritter Oswald Stube gourmet restaurant, awarded with one Gault Millau toque, the Bräukeller, serving Tyrolean specialities, the 500-year old vaults, the heart of the hotel, or the Siglu: the Klosterbräu caters to all tastes. And those who want to pamper body and soul can choose between the monastic bath area boasting a spacious swimming pool, jacuzzi, fitness room and various saunas as well as the unique Beauty Oasis.
So it might very well happen that the guests forget about skiing and snowshoe hiking and spend their holidays exclusively at the Klosterbräu. Because lazing and relaxing are taken seriously in this hotel. Where else can you find weeks dedicated entirely to lazing or a special late risers breakfast served until 3.00 p.m.?

That does not mean, though, that the Klosterbräu is not a good place to work. On the contrary, thanks to its conference rooms the hotel provides the ideal setting for conferences, executive meetings or incentive events of every scale. The outstanding Augustiner-Chor (Augustinian choir) offers an impressive and historic ambiance and is good for conferences and seminars with up to 150 participants. The newly arranged Andreas Hofer Stube executive meeting room provides highly exclusive flair, boasts wood panelling, is equipped with comfortable leather chairs and has the latest technical equipment.

Among gourmets, the exquisite cuisine of the five-star Hotel Klosterbräu is a lot more than an insiders’ tip, and some come from far away to dine here. This is particularly thanks to chef Stephan Muhr who takes care of the hotel’s restaurants together with his kitchen team of twenty. The gourmet place within the hotel grounds is Ritter Oswald Stube, awarded with one Gault Millau toque. The restaurant serves traditional gourmet cuisine, with the ingredients mainly being purchased from local farmers. Among the specialities are game and lamb dishes, local fish such as brown trout, charr or Zander from Lake Neusiedl and, even though neither local nor traditional, lobster in a lot of variations.

But what is the best cuisine without the appropriate wines to complement it? Once again, the Klosterbräu leaves nothing to be desired. More than 20,000 bottles are stored in the romantic vaults which, by the way, can also be booked for dinners for up to 12 people, with music and candlelight. The majority of the wines come from Austria, but you will also find bottles from France, Italy and Germany. Among the most precious rarities are old Château Margaux and old Château d’Yquem.
