The building has been renovated carefully according to the original shape and is situated on the top of a rock that dominates the valley underneath. The wide valley is surrounded by many stone terracings that, together with the structure of the castle, revive memories of ancient times. The hotel is surrounded by a private park and fenced by oaks and cypresses, which alternate with many green areas. Here there is a nice swimming pool of irregular shape (6x10 ms), dug into the rock in front of the main tower entrance with Roman staircase (the tower is open from 15th May to 30th September).

Il Castelluccio has a wide reception room with a living room and a fireplace, three dining rooms furnished in country style, according to the owners’ creative personal taste. It is the ideal place where you can spend magic and unforgettable moments and enjoy old Tuscan recipes and famous red wines of this fertile and friendly region. "Il Castelluccio" has five rooms with private bath, provided with all services and comforts and offers its guests breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our guests can enjoy the typical Tuscan cuisine (mainly of Mugello) with new typical dishes and a wide choice of local wines. Our service is always accurate and tries to meet our guests’ requirement.

Il Castelluccio is situated in a strategic geographical position, because it is only 2 km from the motorway A1 15 minutes from Florence. It is in an isolated and panoramic position, immersed in an uncontaminated nature and has a wonderful swimming pool and a wide dining room where it is possible to enjoy typical dishes. In the surroundings you will find Bilancino lake, where you can swim or do many water sports (canoe, sailing boat, windsurf...). You can walk, cycle or ride (the riding ground is only a few km away) on the innumerable paths, discovering the wonderful Tuscan places, not very well-known, but not for this less fascinating. A few km away you can play golf or visit the famous autodrome of Mugello.
